이 문장이 어디에 들어가는 것이 올바른지를 묻는 문제였습니다. 해설지에는 According to that notion이 이 문장을 가리키는 것이라고 되어있더라구요. 그런데 notion이라는 건 말 그대로 누군가의 의견이나 견해 아닙니까? 저는 위의 문장이 누군가의 견해라기보다는 단순한 사실을 서술하는 문장이라고 판단해서, According to that notion이 (가)에 있는 Marion Chatelain이라는 사람의 견해(~, says Marion Chatelain)과 연결되도록 뒀습니다. 그리고 위의 문장에 있는 indeed 이하가 (나)의 내용을 강조하는 것이라고 판단하여 주어진 문장이 그 뒤에 오도록 (다)를 정답으로 골랐습니다.

그런데 답은 (나)로 되어있더군요. 그렇게 되면 that notion이 가리키는 대상이 무엇인지 알 수 없게 되는 것 아닌지.. 아무리 다시 읽어봐도 이해할 수가 없어서 원문을 검색해봤습니다. 그런데 원문에는 다르게 나와있더라구요

뒤에 있는 ", Chatelain suggests."를 삭제해놓고 위의 문제를 맞추라고 하는건 말이 안되는 것 아닌가요? 

저 말이 없다면 위의 문장이 누군가의 견해라는 사실을 알 수가 없으니까요.
